About Us
The SMCR was created by a group of business owners who worked together to advocate for fair licensing in the sheet metal trade.
The participants in that group recognized the benefits of continuing their interaction, for their businesses and for the industry overall. Since 2013 the SMCR has solidified its mission, focusing on safety, quality, employee development, training, job satisfaction, and increasing efficiency to enhance the future of the sheet metal trade.
The SMCR also tracks regulatory developments, advocates for fair and reasonable regulations, and backs the development of effective training requirements. We are active participants in public meetings of the MA Sheet Metal Board of Examiners and other relevant groups pertaining to our industry. The SMCR welcomes other sheet metal contractors to become part of our mission.
